2009 Two-Time

WGI Power-Regional Finalist

Expressions advances to Semi-Finals Competition at WGI in the final week of the season. At the Dayton Power-Regional we completed one of our big goals by advancing to Finals competiton. A few weeks later we went above our goals by advancing to Finals competition at the Indianapolis Power-Regional.

Before we knew, it was time for Tri-State Circuit Championships. With a score of 84.6, we recieved the Bronze Medal behind Elizabethtown Independent (Gold) and O2(silver). Just a few short days after circuit championships it was time to head to Dayton, OH for WGI.

Pre-lims was an interesting day for us. Going on very early in the morning, we had to wait all day to see what the results would bring. Mid-way through the day we heard the score for Urban Expressions and come to find out we had a tie with a score of 81.8.

When all of the competing units were finished, the judges found a tabulation error. All of a sudden, we had a three way tie adding Cadets of South Shore to the list. Not only was there a three way tie, but it was for the last spot into WGI Semi-Finals competition. We were all excited to get the chance to compete in WGI Semi-Finals.
